STI Testing & Treatment

Confidential, judgment‑free sexual health care for STIs (Sexually transmitted infections)

STI testing should feel clear, respectful, and supportive—not stressful or shame‑based.

At Kyndred, we offer confidential STI testing and treatment that centers Black women’s realities, autonomy, and whole‑person wellness.

We believe knowing your status is an act of self-care—and understanding your results matters just as much as the test itself. Our clinicians help you get answers and a plan without judgment.

Is This You?

This visit is a good fit if any of these feel familiar

If you’re anxious, embarrassed, or low‑key panicking, you’re not alone—this visit is designed to bring the temperature down, give you facts, and move you into action with support.

  • You had recent unprotected sex, a condom slip, or a new partner and want to get checked “just in case.”

  • You have symptoms like discharge, burning, itching, bumps, sores, pelvic pain, or bleeding after sex and don’t want to ignore them.

  • You were told a past partner tested positive and you need fast, clear guidance on what to do next.

  • You’re starting or changing birth control and want to add STI testing as part of your care.

  • You’re living with an STI already (like herpes or HPV) and want better counseling, flare‑up support, or prevention tools for partners.

Every STI Testing & Treatment Visit includes

What’s Included

rotate-scroll
  • A dedicated virtual visit centered on you

Unrushed time with a Kyndred clinician to talk through symptoms, testing, treatment, recent exposures, partner concerns, and any questions you have about protecting your health.

  • Personalized testing recommendations

Your clinician helps you decide which tests make sense for you—not just a one‑size “full panel.” That can include screening for chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis, syphilis, HIV, herpes, and HPV, plus site‑specific swabs (oral, vaginal, anal) when needed.

  • Clear results and treatment plan

We explain what each result means, what’s treatable, what’s curable, and what’s manageable, then lay out next steps in plain, non‑jargony language. When treatment is needed and appropriate for telehealth, prescriptions are sent to your pharmacy with guidance on how and when to take them, and how to support your body while you heal.

  • Partner, prevention, and future‑you planning

We help you think through partner conversations, retesting timelines, condoms and barriers, PrEP/PEP for HIV prevention, and how to protect your future fertility.

  • Integrated education through Sugar

Sugar delivers short, culturally grounded lessons on STIs, testing timelines, window periods, partner communication, and stigma so you’re not left doom‑scrolling for answers.

  • blank

When needed, your clinician may also connect you to the Kyndred Care Network—OB‑GYN, infectious disease, pelvic health, mental health, or HIV specialists—so nothing gets lost between visits.

How a Visit Works

STI care starts virtually for privacy, flexibility, and ease.

  • Before Your Visit

Complete a brief intake about symptoms, exposures, partners, pregnancy status, and medications.

Share what you’re most worried about so your clinician can prioritize your questions.

When available, choose between at‑home collection kits or a lab draw near you, depending on your comfort and needs.

  • During Your Visit

Meet with a Kyndred clinician who gets Black women’s sexual health realities and doesn’t shy away from “awkward” questions.

Review your story, risk factors, and what feels urgent vs. “just want to know.”

Decide together on which tests to order, how you want to receive results, and what immediate steps to take (like starting treatment based on symptoms when clinically appropriate).

  • After Your Visit

Complete testing and receive results. Use an at-home kit, if available, or visit a partner lab for urine, blood, or swab testing, then get results through the secure portal.

Get treatment and clear next steps. When indicated, prescriptions can be sent to your pharmacy, and we’ll explain what your results mean, how to take medications, and when to follow up.

Stay supported. We help with retesting timelines, partner care, prevention planning, Sugar education, Healthcare Homegirl support when part of your care, and referrals through the Kyndred Care Network when needed.
