What is a Healthcare Homegirl?
view answerYour Healthcare Homegirl supports you between visits with lab coordination, pharmacy troubleshooting, referrals, next steps, and other care logistics, so you are not left figuring everything out on your own.
Are labs included?
view answerYes. Most major labs are included in program pricing (except in NYS), and repeat testing may be included as needed to track progress. When more specialized testing is appropriate, Kyndred can also help you access discounted options, including tests insurance often does not cover.
Can I use my insurance?
view answerKyndred visits are self-pay. However, many patients may be able to use insurance for in-person lab testing completed through partner labs, depending on their plan and the tests ordered.
For WTF Visits:
The visit itself is cash-pay with sliding scale pricing, and HSA/FSA are accepted. We provide superbills for potential reimbursement. Your Healthcare Homegirl will work to route labs and imaging through your insurance when possible.
Cash-pay often costs less than insurance copays and deductibles – plus you get immediate access without referrals, pre-authorizations, or an insurance company deciding which tests you "need." To learn more about why we chose this model, visit this page.
Is this emergency care?
view answerNo. If you have severe pain, soaking pads quickly, fainting, chest pain, or think you may be pregnant with pain or bleeding, please call 911 or seek urgent or emergency care right away.
Can I use my WTF Visit results with my own doctor?
view answerAbsolutely. Your written care plan and full lab results are yours to take anywhere. Many members use the WTF Visit to get clear answers and then continue care with their insurance-covered providers – and your Healthcare Homegirl can help coordinate referrals into the Kyndred Care Network so you're supported either way.
Is the WTF Visit only for certain diagnoses?
view answerNo. Many members come in with no diagnosis at all – just symptoms like fatigue, period issues, gut problems, or low desire. The visit is designed to help you figure out what's going on and what to do next.
